Safeguarding Week 2019

North Yorkshire and York Safeguarding Week 2019 is taking place from 24 to 28 June 2019.

A number of local events are taking place, along with a joint county and city conference.

North Yorkshire and York Safeguarding Children and Adults Boards are working together with the Community Safety Partnerships, to host the event; the theme is ‘Safeguarding is Everybody’s Business’.

Every year Safeguarding Week aims to raise awareness of the different forms abuse can take, and looks at complex issues affecting North Yorkshire and York.

During Safeguarding Week 2019 there'll be a number of free information events across York:

City of York Council's Adult Social Care and Children’s Social Care Teams will be talking to the public at West Offices throughout Safeguarding Week, as well as answering any questions.
