Working together to safeguard adults with care and support needs

SAFEGUARDING WEEK 2020

Safeguarding Week 2020 (22-26 June) aims to promote and raise awareness of how to report any abuse of children, young people and adults in City of York and North Yorkshire.

It is supported by City of York Safeguarding Adults Board and City of York Safeguarding Children’s Board, and by community safety partnerships including TEWV, IDAS, North Yorkshire Police and the CCG.

Over the week and through social media, we are raising awareness of domestic abuse, that ‘Safeguarding is everybody’s business’.

Please follow #TellUsYourConcerns and share information on our five themes:

Monday 22nd June: Domestic abuse

Tuesday 23rd June: Keeping safe online and scams

Wednesday 24th June: Radicalisation and extremism

Thursday 25th June: County Lines and Cuckooing

Friday 26th June: Mental health and Wellbeing.

We will highlight sources of information and support, and ask that concerns about abuse or neglect should continue to be reported here:
