Working together to safeguard adults with care and support needs

safeTALK

City of York Council is offering a free safeTALK course that aims to teach participants basic steps to recognise if someone is having thoughts of suicide and how to connect them with resources that can help. Knowing how to help can save a life.

This course is suitable for anyone over 16 who may come into contact with individuals at risk of suicide, either at work or in their personal life. It is not suitable for those who have recently been bereaved.
