Managing Concerns about People in Positions of Trust (PiPoT) relates to those instances where a partner organisation is made aware of information that may affect the suitability of a professional, student, or volunteer to work with adult(s) with care and support needs, where such information has originated from activity outside their professional or volunteering role and place of work.
Tania Stephenson discusses the new PIPOT online referral process in York and looks at case scenarios of when this applies and what should be done about it.
‘Making safeguarding personal’, ‘Person-centred practice’, ‘Co-production’; each of these approaches focuses on working in partnership with people who use services.
On this day, we will explore how we can embed these approaches successfully in our service design and everyday practices. We are encouraging organisations to share challenges and successes about how to effectively partner with the people they support.
Tell us about how you are working in partnership with those you support in your role or organisation. What is working well? What are the challenges?
Use the hashtag #SafeguardingAdultsWeek to share your reflections with us on social media.
